Great 1st week of Playoff Football

Most games during the first week of high school football playoffs went according to plan. WWSouth beat St. Laurence 61-6, which all of us in the studio predicted a big win for WWSouth as they look to be one the most dominant teams in 7A. Glenbard North also won with easy 26-0 over Andrew as we expected. Naperville North gave Fremd a run for their leading 14-10 at halftime, but Fremd pulled away in the 2nd half to win 22-14. That was the last game for the coaching legend Larry McKeon of Naperville North. Naperville central also came away with a 26-18 victory over Lockport. Which was a surprise to us in the studio as everyone except for Dr. Pete had Lockport winning. However, the biggest surprise of the night was Sandburg beating Hinsdale Central 35-10. No one expected this game to be a blowout, let alone Sandburg winning this game. Next up for Sandburg is Glenbard North, which will be another challenge for Sandburg.
